What is a Fit to Fly Certificate?
A Fit to Fly Certificate is a medical document completed by a healthcare professional confirming
that you are medically fit to travel by air.
Airlines may request medical clearance if you:
- Have recently undergone surgery
- Are pregnant
- Have suffered an illness or injury
- Have a chronic medical condition
- Have recently been discharged from hospital
- Are travelling following a fracture or plaster cast
- Have experienced a cardiac or respiratory condition
- Have recently had COVID-19 or another infectious illness (where applicable)
